Cabinet puts off circle rate revision
The Delhi Cabinet has deferred approving a proposal increasing property circle rates. It has instead formed a committee to reconsider the various categories charted out by the Revenue Department that had sought the Cabinets approval for a proposal to revise the procedure for calculating circle rates,or the minimum price at which a property can be sold in Delhi. Educationist Stya Paul dies at 91
Stya Paul,a renowned freedom fighter,educationist and industrialist,passed away here on Monday. He was 91. Paul,the founder chairman of Apeejay Education Society,which runs a large number of schools and other institutes across north India,was ailing for some time. He was the elder brother of London-based NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul.
