Woman’s body run over by dozens of vehicles
NEW DELHI:An unidentified woman in her thirties was found dead and her body parts scattered across the road after she was run over by many vehicles in Rajouri Garden on Saturday night. Police believe that about a dozen vehicles could have run over her after the victim was hit. According to the official,the body was badly mutilated and bore more than 65 injuries. “It was very difficult to recognise her face,” he said,adding that the body has been taken to a mortuary and a hue-and-cry notice issued.

Held hostage by pirates,Indian appeals for help
GHAZIABAD:The father of an Indian sailor held hostage by Somali pirates along with 15 compatriots has written to the Prime Minister asking for help. Chirag Bari,27,onboard a German ship hijacked from the Gulf of Aden on May 8,called up his parents in Modinagar on Saturday and said their food stocks will last for only four days. “My son fears for his life as 25 pirates are guarding the ship with guns and other weapons,” said Chirag’s father Pradeep Bari. Out of 19 crew members,16 are Indian,one Ukrainian and two from Bangladesh.
