An unbeaten knock of 96 by Ankit Dabas and a patient 75 by Gaurav Kochar helped Telefunken Club beat LB Shastri Club by 7 wickets and lift 2nd MK Group Invitation U-22 cricket tournament at Mohan Meakin ground. Earlier,Telefunken won the toss and elected to field first. LB Shastri were all out 176 off 40.5 overs. Sufiyan Alam scored 55 runs of 75 balls with the help of 8 fours. Shakti Singh and Sandeep Raj Kaushik scored 21 & 20 respectively. Telefunken’s Nitin Yadav (3/25) was the only successful bowler. In reply,Telefunken achieved the target of 177 in 28.3 overs losing two wickets. Ankit Dabas outshone with the bat and returned with 96 not out while Gaurav Kochar supported him with a well stitched 75 for the 2nd wicket.

RPCA Pull off a thriller
Half centuries by Vaibhav Rawal (62) and Surinder Dayma (62) enabled RP Cricket Academy beat Ravindra Cricket Academy by one run in a nail-biting match to enter the prequarter-final of the 21st All-India Om Nath Sood Memorial cricket tournament being played at RSKP,Pitampura grounds.

Put in to bat, RPCA managed to reach 221 for 8 in there 40 overs. Some useful contributions with the bat by Vaibhav Rawal (62),Surinder Dayma (62) and Rahul Baloni (25) powered RPCA to reach a competitive total. For Ravindra,Vipul Gupta and Shispal Singh took 2 wickets apiece. After Ravindra were struggling on 118 for 3 in 31.3 overs at one stage,some devastating knocks by Ishan Kumar (51),Nitesh Lochab (51) changed the entire situation. But Ketan Pawar’s (2/32) and Raghav Kakkar (2/43) was enough for RPCA to put breakes on Ravindra’s run flow and win the match by one run.
