His bowling and a 75-run knock by Ritik Shokeen helped Aravali Academy,Vasant Kunj reach the semifinal of the GHPS U-15 Cricket Cup,beating Laxman Public School,Hauj Khas.

kshitij scores 79 runs

An unbeaten 79-run knock by Kshitij Sharma and batting contributions by Deepak Yadav (60) and Sohil Roaf (37) helped NK Khanna Club beat Three Star Club by 6 wickets and get four points in the DDCA League.

In another match,after Shashi Bhusan (3/18) helped restrict Kishan Ganj Colts total to 157,NSCC’s batsmen — Nitin Goyal (43),Tarun Gupta (43) and Pardeep Mann (34) also put together a good performance to beat KG Colts by 6 wickets in the DDCA League.

In another match,Nishant Sharma’s knock of 75 runs,along with contributions from Jaideep Singh (36) and Kunj Sharma (48) saw Universal Club put up a total of 232 runs. Kunark Tyagi then took four wickets (4/26) to restrict Alpine Club to 148 and beat them by 84 runs in DDCA League.

Mohan,tanuj slam tons

Fine unbeaten centuries by Mohan Prakash (121 no) and Tanuj Kumar (115 no) helped Cambridge Foundation Rajori Garden set up a mammoth 283-run total against RP Academy. When RP came to the middle,Cambridge’s Rahul Gaggi 4/24 and Ashwani 3/25 restricted them to 125 runs. Cambridge won by 158 runs to reach the final of the 1st Brahma Nand Memorial U-15 cricket tournament.

Rehna takes three wickets

A good bowling spell by Rehna in which she took three wickets conceding just two runs in the Lakshmi Bai 20-20 Women’s Cricket Tournament saw Veer Academy,Sonipat beat Salwan Public School,Rajendra Nagar by 8 wickets. A 23-run knock by Deepti also made sure that Veer Academy complete the winning target without losing many wickets.

In another match,an unbeaten 27-run knock by Vandna helped Sonnet Club beat Modern School by 5 wickets. Though Modern School set a target of 86 runs,Sonnet Club bettered it — hitting a four to seal the victory.

MISRA SPORTS WIN

Fine unbeaten half centuries by Parveen Kumar (52),Gourav Kochar (58),Pardeep Sharma (52) and a good bowling spell by Deepak Khatri (3/38) helped Misra Sports beat Dinesh Verma Foundation by six wickets in the 3rd All-India Vibhuti Nath Misra U-19 Cricket Tournament. Misra Sports now get four points and Parveen Kumar was announced the Man of the Match.
