Vikas retained as U-16 skipper
Vikas Hathwala has been retained as the Delhi under-16 skipper for the knockout stages of the Vijay Merchant Trophy. The junior selection committee made a few changes in the 16-member squad announced on Monday. Selected players will report to chairman Suresh Luthra on December 23 at St Stephens college ground. Delhi XI lose to AICF Haryana
AICF Delhi fell to the medium-pace bowling of Shubham,who picked five wickets for 22,and lost to Haryana by 87 runs in the opening match of the Champions Trophy,being conducted by the All India Cricket Federation,at The Banyan Tree School ground in Chandigarh. Chasing a victory target of 213 runs for victory,Delhi were bundled out for 125 in 15 overs,with Sachin top-scoring with 31 (inlcuding three fours and two sixes).
