TAFS,MBI advance
* The Air Force School (TAFS) and Manav Bharti International advanced to the quarters finals of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Inter School Tournament for the Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy (32nd Sub-Junior National Championship 2009) in the second phase which is being conducted at the Govt. Sr.Sec School,CR Park for the selection of Delhi Sub Junior Team.
TAFS defeated Manav Bharti International,3-0 in the pre-quarters with goals from Dilliram (15 th min),Nimdorjee (20) & Prabal(30). In the other match,Salwan Public School,Mayur Vihar defeated Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan,K G Marg 3-0. The scorers were Tushar(30 th min),Aditya (36 th min) and Krishna (38 th min).
DSA has already shortlisted Delex( Air Force Tafs),Rahul Oswal,Suddep Rawat,Hitesh,Tushar,Krishna,Mayank and Karan Bhatt(Salwan School),Rishabh Agarwal,Abhishek Bist & Kunal (Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan),A.Manchanda,Sauvik Mitra,Akshay Sahni,Akshay Maun( Modern School,Barakhamba),Manav Kakad,Shiv Kohli,S.S. Bava,Vibhu Mahendru,Rudra Khurana(Modern School,Vasant Vihar),Bhanu Karku,Vipul Dhawan,Shashwat Yadav(Ryan International) Mayank(Laxman Public School) for further trials. The trials have begun at the Ambedkar Stadium. The third phase of the tournament will start today at Amity University,Sector 125,Noida with 21 school teams belonging to Noida,Ghaziabad & Indirapuram participating.

Delhi thrash J&K
* Useful partnership between Milind Kumar (76) and captain Rahul Bhardwaj (47) and all-round display by Unmukt Chand (38 and 2/26) helped Delhi beat Jammu & Kashmir by 70 runs to enter the knock-out round of the Vinoo Mankad under-19 north zone cricket tournament.
Brief scores: Delhi 302 for 7 in 50 overs (Milind Kumar 76,Rahul Bhardwaj 47,Gaurav Kochar 46,Unmukt Chand,38; Nitin Mehra 2/51); J&K 232 for 9 in 50 overs (Asif Khan 67,Ovesh Shah 27; Unmukt Chand 2/26,Vivek Mishra 2/37)

Tyagi smashes176
* Rahul Tyagi smashed 176 runs to help Rohtak Road Gymkhana beat Kranti Star by a first innings lead of 55 runs. Useful contributions by Ayush Sharma (49) with the bat and Tejender Singh (3/39) with the ball propelled Rohtak Road towards victory in the DDCA U-16 Vijay Mehra two day cricket tournament. Tyagi picked up two wickets for 22 runs and was awarded the man of the match for his all-round effort.
Brief scores: Rohtak Road Ist innings 315 for 7 in 80 overs (Rahul Tyagi 176,Ayush Sharma 49; Paras Gupta 2/23); Kranti Star Ist innings 260 all out in 70 overs (Manoj Gupta 126 ; Vishal 4/51,Tejender Singh 3/39)

WDA win
* A strong batting display by Ankit Pratap (55 n.o.) and Prince (35) helped West Delhi Academy beat Harry Academy by 7 wickets to enter the semi-final of the 1st West Delhi U-11 cricket tournament at the Hari Nagar Sports Complex.

Dron shines
* Dron Chabra claimed three wickets for 19 runs,while Ashwani (25 n.o.),Aditya Manchanda (20 n.o.) helped Sonnet Club beat West Delhi by 6 wickets to get four points in the Bharti U-15 cricket tournament.

Six-wicket haul by Zoon
* Brilliant bowling by left-arm spinner Zoon Pahariya (6/17) and good knock by Nakul Sharma (44) helped Government Boys School (Bharat Nagar) beat Vidya Jain Public School by 17 runs in the league round of the 3rd Boost Cup Inter School under-16 cricket tournament at Bharat Nagar ground.
