Two pantry workers of Vande Bharat Express exchanged blows at the Nizamuddin railway station after an argument broke out between them over who would carry the water inside the train, the Delhi police said.

“Yesterday an incident of fight took place between pantry assistants in Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express. The issue was regarding placing a water box inside the train, a verbal argument along with incident of fight and affray took place between both party. However, no formal complaint was made by any of party, and the matter was mutually resolved in written,” DCP (South East) Hemant Tiwari said.

According to the police, the incident happened at Platform number 7, with the video of the incident showing both the accused starting to hit each other during the argument. Soon, two groups formed as the other workers joined in, who took off their belts and started delivering blows.

“Under sections 194(2) BNS, has been registered and investigations are underway. No complaints have been registered however,” DCP Tiwari said.
