BJP’s senior leaders meet newly elected MLAs to analyse poll results

Delhi’s seven MPs also held meetings with MLAs in their constituency.

A day after its massive victory in the Delhi Assembly polls, senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and MPs held meetings with all 48 MLAs to discuss their performance, and results and to guide the new leaders on how to work to develop the national capital.

National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh, National Vice-President and Delhi BJP Election In-Charge Baijayant Panda, National Secretary and Delhi BJP co-in-charge Dr Alka Gurjar, co in-charge Atul Garg, Delhi State President Virendra Sachdeva and others were part of the meetings.

Besides, Delhi’s seven MPs also held meetings with MLAs in their constituency.

“Senior leaders provided the MLAs with guidance on working within proper organisational and administrative frameworks. They were further advised on how to start working in their constituency on development-related issues… they were also told to maintain complete transparency in their working style,” said a BJP official.

Further, the official said, the senior leaders also drew attention to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s victory message on Saturday evening and said efforts should begin to build a developed Delhi, in line with the PM’s vision, without wasting any time.

Several MLAs on Sunday took out victory marches in their constituency to thank the people.
