Attempt to rape 7-yr-old

Delhi Police personnel, along with their Gurgaon counterparts, rushed to the spot and took the girl to Civil Hospital.

A day after an 11-year-old girl was found raped and murdered in Gurgaon, a seven-year-old girl was on Tuesday found at a roadside at Gwal Pahari village, bleeding. Police said a medical examination indicated someone tried to rape the girl.

A passerby called the Delhi Police control room. Delhi Police personnel, along with their Gurgaon counterparts, rushed to the spot and took the girl to Civil Hospital for a medical examination.

The Delhi Police control room contacted the Fatehpurberi police station, which informed DLF City Phase-1 police station. “After we got information from Fatehpurberi police, the girl was taken to hospital for medical examination, which confirmed someone tried to rape her,” Gulam Mohammad, SHO, DLF Phase-1 police station, said.

“Her parents are not ready to register a complaint,” he said.

5-year-old girl molested by school van driver

A five-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her school van driver in Southeast Delhi’s Govindpuri area. The alleged incident took place more than 10 days ago but the girl had not spoken about it to her parents, police said. As the girl refused to go to school after the incident, her mother asked her for the reason. The girl told her mother that the driver used to touch her inappropriately, police said.

The driver has been arrested. A case under POCSO Act has been registered.
