Rs 3 lakh robbed from outside bank
Unidentified assailants robbed a man of Rs 3 lakh at gunpoint outside a bank in Vivek Vihar,East Delhi,on Tuesday afternoon. Police said Gulshan Chawla,36,was carrying Rs 3,30,000 to deposit it in a Punjab National Bank branch. “Outside the bank,two motorcycle-borne men hit Chawla and a relative accompanying him. One of the assailants pointed a gun at them and snatched the bag containing the cash,” a police official said. Chawla runs a dairy in Jhilmil Colony. Police suspect the involvement of an insider. A case of robbery has been lodged.

Fearing poor results,student hangs self
A 19-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in West Delhi’s Nihal Vihar on Monday night. Police said Puja had recently taken Class XII exams from the National Institute of Open Schooling and,according to her parents,feared poor results. Police said she was found hanging by her mother,after which her family rushed her to the hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival. The hospital authorities informed the police. No suicide note was recovered. Police have registered a case.

2-yr-old boy kidnapped in Ghaziabad
A two-year-old boy was kidnapped when he was sleeping with his mother outside his house in Vijay Nagar,the police said on Tuesday. Divyansh was kidnapped on Monday morning when his mother Poonam went inside the house for some work,according to the complaint lodged by the parents at Vijay Nagar police station,SSP Raghubir Lal said. A case has been registered.
