Metro chief to be out of hospital on Friday
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Managing Director E Sreedharan is likely to be discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital by Friday. He,however,might stay away from work for a few more weeks. Sreedharan underwent a bypass heart surgery last week and is said to be recovering well. According to sources in the hospital,77-year-old Sreedharan has been advised complete rest for at least six more weeks.

Production warrant against Salem
After the police repeatedly failed to produce the underworld don Abu Salem in court,a city court on Tuesday issued another production warrant against Salem. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kiran Bansal issued the warrant after the Mumbai police failed to bring Salem to the court in case related to extortion that was registered in Delhi in 1998.

Man held at airport with 6 kg heroin
A person from Ferozpur,Punjab,was arrested on Tuesday by the Directorate of Revenue and Intelligence from the Air India check-in counter at the IGI airport with six kg of high-quality heroin worth Rs 6 crore. The accused,Gurtej Singh Bhatt,was to board an Air India flight (IC-187) to Toronto when arrested at 5 pm.
