A Nobel Festival

The country that gave the world,dynamite,tetra packs and Abba,is organizing the fifth edition of the Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Week which celebrates innovations,creativity and relations between the two countries. The Week,beginning on October 15,also celebrates the legacy of Sweden’s best known innovator,entrepreneur and philanthropist,Alfred Nobel. From October 16,Rajiv Chowk metro station will house the Nobel Memorial Wall,featuring pictures and trivia about the stalwarts who have won the coveted Nobel Prize. The wall will be open till October 22. Music lovers can look forward to an opera performance by eminent tenor Mats Carlsson and pianist Michael Engstrom. The festival will also include lectures,seminars,quizzes,exhibitions and cultural performances.

The festival will simultaneously be held in Delhi,Mumbai,Chennai,Bengaluru,Hyderabad and Pune from Oct 15-23
