3 held for human trafficking

Police on Thursday arrested three persons from South Delhi for their alleged involvement in human trafficking through forged visas.

Police on Thursday arrested three persons from South Delhi for their alleged involvement in human trafficking through forged visas. Police also recovered 22 passports,with two fake visa stickers of South Africa.

The accused were identified as Tek Bahadur Ghimire (39),Devender Gurang alias Dev Guru (43) and Shakil Ahmed alias Shakil Teli (33). According to police,the racket came to light after the High Commission of South Africa informed the police on September 9 that Ghimire had approached them with a fake visa of South Africa.

“We saw the fake visa,which was stamped on page number 21 of Ghimire’s Nepal passport,and arrested him. The others were subsequently held,” said DCP (South) Chhaya Sharma.
