Drink party turns violent,man killed

A construction worker was killed by his friend after a drunken debate in Gubbalala Saturday night. Roshan (22) of MP stayed in a shed at an under-construction apartment complex with five other workers. Saturday night,they were celebrating after receiving weekly wages. They drank and quarrled. Sunday morning,the body of Roshan was found. The police said a few workers recalled Roshan continuing a discussion with co-worker Atul as others retired to sleep. They have recovered a hammer with bloodstains and started a hunt for Atul who is missing.

Depressed woman commits suicide

A 25-year-old depressed homemaker,Shivakumari,committed suicide at her house in Chinnayyanna Palya Sunday. Her cab driver husband Srinivas returned home for lunch and found her body hanging. The couple had married a year ago and Shivakumari had delivered a boy three months back. “Her brother Ravi Kumar claimed she was under treatment for post-partum psychosis,” police said.
