Brother-in-law,you may now kiss the bride,Navneet Singh quickly punches in the last tweet of the day,er night,as his brother-in-law Deepinder Malhotra takes the final phera with his blushing bride,Prakriti at Nanda Farms on February 4. And with this final vow,wedding wows echo all over the globe,making the Malhotra wedding one of the first to stream live throughout on Twitter from the city. There were many people who couldnt make it,and so,I decided to record it all live for them! smiles Navneet,who is with Googles R&D Mobile Engineering wing. All you have to do is carry a smartphone,ample battery back-up,chargers,a great network and have all social networking sites in place, says the techie who got busy tweeting – baraatis have arrived,here comes the bride,getting ready for pheras,et al. Usually,one has those bulky cameras and videographers all over the place in a maze of wires. They shoot,record,upload,and you get to see it all much later,so do the ones whove missed it. So we cut short the process and with Twitter,uploaded videos,photos and comments live from the venue, hes pretty thrilled with the live updates which are time-stamped. These are all chronologically entered events,and people who didnt even know about the wedding are logging on! Ask the groom Deepinder,and he says it was one of the best surprises. I had no clue it could work out like this! hes enjoying the quirky feedback and stream of congrats.
