Who among us never dreamed of leaving and quitting? But why depart? Where do we go? What do we bring from our travels and wanderings? The Alliance Francaise invites you to be a part of Partir (Leaving),a play based on the intertwined stories of a young French girl and a young Indian boy,who are in continuous motion around the world, and at the same time, bearing in themselves the motion of the world. The play is written, directed and interpreted by the members of TheatreAmaYur,a troupe founded by the students of Jawaharlal Nehru Universitys Centre for French and Francophone Studies. Partir is a collective creation on the topic of wandering and exile, inspired by the works of three Francophone Belgian writers (Henry Bauchau,Marguerite Yourcenar and Henri Michaux). The show is mainly in French, but also uses English and Hindi.
Partir will be screened on May 24,7 pm,at Café Theatre,Alliance Française
