While summer vacations are usually chock-a-block with activities, both for parents and for children, when it comes to winters, the region is relatively lazy. “That’s the reason we have come up with an adventure camp during winters,” said Ranjan Sethi, director of The British School, throwing open the school campus for fun activities — from rappelling down from a 40-feet wall to finding your way without a compass.

The school’s winter camp, called GOALS 2011-12,acronym for Games-Outdoor-Adventure-Learning-Skills,will be held in the campus from December 25 to

January 7. “Four camps, each three-day-long,are being organised in the school,” said Shashank Pandey,MD,Aspen Adventures, which is organising the camp.

The camp also includes a two nights and three-day-long tent stay, and is open to anybody in the age group 8-18 years. “There will be 25 different activities for the youngsters to participate in,” added Sethi.
