One-day training of Technical Associates under pharmacovigilance program of India (PvPI) was organised by Pharmacovigilance & Resource centre for North India for Training and Technical Support,Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research,Chandigarh. Training was focused over reporting of adverse effects of medicines. Coordinator of the centre Dr Bikash Medhi Additional Prof,Department of Pharmacology PGIMER,Chandigarh,started the program by detailing the need of such trainings.
Several speakers from both industrial and academic background also delivered their talk on different aspects of pharmacovigilance.
Trainees were given the training of WHOs (World Health Organisation). Database regarding handing of adverse reaction data of medicines.
Dr Medhi expressed his thanks to all participants with the hope that they will implement the message of this training in their institutes for the betterment of people.
