Drug de-addiction camp to be held
The Drug De-addiction and Treatment Centre,Department of Psychiatry,PGIMER,is going to organise a drug de-addiction and treatment awareness camp on March 31 at the community centre at Bhaskar Colony,Sector 25. This is an activity to increase the awareness for treatment of addiction problems in rural areas and to engage people with drug problems in treatment network. Patients will be seen between 10 am and 1pm by an expert medical team and medicines will be distributed free of cost. Persons and their family members who are addicted to alcohol,opiods (dhoda,bhukki,injections) capsules,bhang,charas,nicotine use or other addiction problems are advised to visit the camp.
12 officers retire from PGIMER
Prof Yogesh Chawla,Director,PGIMER honoured twelve officers on their superannuation on March30 by presenting mementos to them. Sushil Thakur,financial adviser handed over beneficiary cheques comprising GPF,gratuity and group insurance. The respective heads of departments wished them well in life with bouquets. Gagan Bala Sharma,DNS ,Bhoti Devi,sanitary attendant,Department of Histopathology,Devi Malhotra,assistant at NINE along with others retired from the PGIMER.
