“Actually,I was approached for season one too,but was busy with my shows and opted out,” says Tejwani,taking over from the previous seasons’ host,Ram Kapoor. Back on television after a hiatus,Tejwani says he would never want to leave the small screen. “This is where I got success,fame and money and I will never leave it,” says the actor who dons the role of a ‘best man’,confidante and

an adviser for Rajput and the other contestants in the show that is scheduled to go on air in a couple

of months.

Married to Gauri Pradhan for seven years now,quiz him about the secret of their long relationship and he jokes,“like they say boss is always right,in case of marriage,wife is always right.” On a serious note though,he feels it’s the basic understanding between two people and the chemistry that works. “I am not going to tell Ratan whom to choose or how to choose… that’s her decision,I am there to help her through it.”

With a short stint on Star One’s Rang Badalti Odhni,Tejwani took time off to open a multicuisine restaurant,Bar Code 053,with wife Gauri,in Mumbai. His film career too is looking up. After roles in films like Anwar,Krishna Cottage and Jogger’s Park he will be seen in Imaandari Ki Maa Ki Ankh. “The film is set in Mumbai’s Slum Rehabilitation Authority and I play a con man,a gambler.” While this will release in August,Tejwani is busy sifting through other projects. “With cinema it’s a different ballgame,you really don’t know how the audience will react,so one has to tread carefully,” says the actor,adding that his

focus right now is to help Rajput tread the path with great care. Soon,he’ll pack his bags

and head to Jaipur,where Ratan Ka Rishta

will be shot.
