Sumit knocks down Divya to bag billiards title

Riding high on his intelligent cueing skills,local Sumit Talwar overpowered Divya Sharma of Haryana by 3-2 (24-55,74-35,67-34,48-54,65-57) in well contested final to clinch the title by winning the ProCircuit League 6-tournament series at Asia Billiards Hall,Sector-34,Chandigarh

In the thrilling final,Sumit Talwar overcame the tough challenge from his gritty opponent Divya Sharma from Haryana,but eventually beat him 3-2. Divya Sharma started off well with good breaks of 33 and 24 to win the first frame. Sumit came back strongly to win the next two frames with top breaks of 45 and 43 respectively. Fourth frame was a good tactical battle,bagged by Dvya Sharma. The scoreline stood at 2-2. In the final frame,Divya made an opening lead of 28 points but made couple of quick mistakes to let Sumit back in the frame. Showing off his mettle,Sumit potted the last brown,blue and pink to close frame and match. The third tournament of this series will be played in October.
