Six regions,one platform and the everybody who thinks they can dance – that’s right people,it is like they say in the promo,‘Izzat Ka Sawal’,for it’s the first ever Dance Premier League. It’s on and they are coming to town to take you with them! September 1 will see the crew of Sony Entertainment Television pitch their tents at Bhai Makhan Shah Lobana Bhawan,Sector 30,Chandigarh,and audition all those who ‘have feet and will dance’ from 8am to 4pm. As for the format,Rin DPL promises to showcase India’s rich and diverse culture and give an opportunity to teams from each zone to compete. It will have five teams from different zones of India – North,East,West,South and Central,and one NRI team,all competing with one another for “regional pride”. Each zonal team will comprise of talented dancers selected through multi-city auditions across select cities in each zone. Rin Dance Premier League promises pan India representation and will hold auditions in 15 cities in India and in London to scout for the best dancing talent starting with Chandigarh on September 1. Once you are in,each team will be mentored by a celebrity choreographer. Says Danish Khan,Vice President,Head Marketing,Sony,“Rin Dance Premier League is a unique format which will provide a platform to talented dancers from all across India an opportunity to represent their respective zonal team,so the art from dance will combine with regional pride and bring alive the colour and spirit of different regions of India on a national platform. It will provide viewers with entertaining,engaging and compelling content every weekend.”
