The Diamond Destination has kick-started the festive season with the launch of the Vignaharta Ganesh Collection of pendants. This is the 13th collection in the Spiritual Series by the brand and comprises pendants inspired by the eight incarnations of Lord Ganesha. The eight incarnations – Vakratunda,Ekadanta,Mahodara,Gajavaktra,Lambodara,Vikata,Vighnaraja and Dhumravarna – have been crafted into 22 karat gold and platinum pendants and further adorned with precious stones like rubies,emeralds,pearls,Belgian diamonds,rudraksha,coral and the navratnas. AFTER a successful season in March this year,Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) in Mumbai will herald Winter/ Festive 2010 season for the first time introducing the concept of a winter and festive season. The Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD),headquartered in Chandigarh,is the official knowledge partner to the event for the third consecutive season. Incidentally,previously INIFD students Sabah Khan,Sukhwant and Aastha have showcased their designs at the Gen Next show at the event. According to INIFDs president Aditi Srivastava,INIFD would be presenting Lakme Fashion Weeks fashion workshop series The Business of Fashion for designers,buyers,students and the media on August 31 at Mumbai. The fashion workshop series will comprise of panelists Ritu Kochhar,Corporate Director,INIFD,designers Narendra Kumar,Nachiket Barve,Masaba Gupta,buyers Sushil Jhaveri (Fuel),Pearl Uppal (Fashion & You) and Priya Kishore (Bombay Electric).
