Smoker stabs cigarette seller

A resident of Sector 46 was stabbed after he asked a BA final year student to pay for cigarettes. The victim Lalit Mehta was stabbed in the stomach by Fathehgarh Sahib resident Atinder Pal Singh. He is a student of Government College,Sector 46.

On Friday evening,Mehta was allegedly stabbed by Singh after the former asked him to make payment for cigarettes he had previously bought. The accused has been arrested by the police. The victim was admitted to PGIMER by the police where his condition is set to be serious.

According to Kirpal Singh,SHO,Sector 34 Police Station,Atinder had not been paying Mehta for the cigarettes he had bought. Mehta had asked Atinder to pay many times.
