RTI activist lodges complaint against ‘hasty’ selection process for PU Registrar

He added in his complaint that when the said selection is being made on an all India advertisement basis,one fails to apprehend how PU ensured that the interviewees will certainly receive the interview letters in a short period of around 48 working hours. Maybe that because of being out of station,some of the candidates might not receive timely intimation and fail to appear in the interview.

Further,PU has asked the candidates to give a five minute power-point presentation during interview which was neither considered necessary while interviewing candidates for the post of ‘Controller of Exams’ on August 9 nor mentioned in the advertisement which carries same qualifications for the posts of Registrar as well as Controller of Exams.

At present,Prof A K Bhandari,is looking after four positions – two full-time paid administrative posts (Registrar and Controller of Exams) and one full-time paid teaching post (Professor in Mathematics),besides being Chairman of Department of Mathematics.
