Chargesheet filed against ‘drug suppliers’

The UT police on Thursday submitted a chargesheet against three persons in connection with the death of Radhika Vashist,a 21-year old student of Government Girls College,Sector 11,in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate. Vashist,a BA student,had died of an alleged heroin overdose on December 17 in a room in hotel Hill View,Sector 22. The case has been adjourned to March 2. The chargesheet was submitted against Gagandeep and Saurav under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and NDPS Act. The two had allegedly supplied drugs to the deceased. Hotel manager Krishan Kumar,who had allegedly tampered with the CCTV footage of the hotel,has been chargesheeted with destruction of evidence.
