Question on Anandpur Sahib Resolution irks CM

Implementation of Anandpur Sahib Resolution and Punjab Termination of Agreements Act (PTAA) amendment were the major issues for the SAD in the last LS polls,but its manifesto doesn’t mention these two issues. When Badal was about asked about the change,he got annoyed and said,“You ask only controversial questions.”

The CM,who was here today to attend the filing of nominations of SAD candidate Hans Raj Hans,said they have mentioned about decentralisation of powers in the manifesto. It was learnt that the SAD has been facing opposition from the BJP over inclusion of the Anandpur Sahib resolution.

When told that the SAD has not included scrapping of Section 5 of the PTAA,which was announced two years ago during assembly elections,in the manifesto,he said,“Koi ik adhi line reh gai honi hai (Some sentences may have been missed).”

He didn’t give any response to the reported offer of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head to apologise at the Akal Takht.
