This year,Tannishtha Chatterjee has added another accolade by winning the best actress award for her role in Mangesh Hadawale’s Dekh Indian Circus,at the recently held 12th Annual New York Film Festival. Nawazuddin Siddiqui,who plays her husband in the film,won the best actor award. The film is about a family which lives in a village in Rajasthan,and its trials and tribulations while fulfilling its dream. Meanwhile,Chatterjee will be seen in films like Anna Karenina with Jude Law,BMW,Gaur Hari

Dastaan as well as I Love NY with Sunny Deol.

On winning the award,she says,“The reactions were heartwarming and winning the best actress award is a great honour. This film has been a lovely experience. I am privileged to get the opportunity to be part of such films.”
