Priya,Sneha win gold for PU

Carrtying the momentum forward,Panjab University judokas once again shone on the second day of the All India Inter-University Judo Championship for Women being held at the Panjab University Gymnasium Hall on Monday.

Carrtying the momentum forward,Panjab University judokas once again shone on the second day of the All India Inter-University Judo Championship for Women being held at the Panjab University Gymnasium Hall on Monday. Priya and Sneha Tadyal of Panjab University claimed gold for their team.

Priya finished first in the 44 kg weight category to win gold,while Hursharan Kaur of Guru Nanak Dev University was in tow to claim the silver medal. Jyoti Sharma of Punjab University and Suman of MD University,Rohtak,jointly shared the third position.

Meanwhile,it was Seema of Kurukshetra University who brought glory to her team by winning gold in the 52kg weight category. For Panjanb University,Komla Saini fetched a silver medal,while Sazida Chana of Punjabi University,Patiala,and Monika of Delhi University jointly shared the third spot.

Adding another medal to the team’s kitty,Sneha Tadyal finished at the top spot in the 78kg weight category to win a gold medal for hosts Panjab University. Rekha of Kurukshetra University secured the silver medal,while the third spot was jointly shared by Jaybhay Swapnali of Pune University and Latika Sharma of Delhi University.
