To mark the sixth anniversary of the American Corner at the Central State Library in Sector 17,the US Embassy,New Delhi,will be flying in HaviKoro,a Houston-based breakdance and hip-hop group. “Havikoro’s India tour starts with Chandigarh,” says Lydia Barraza,cultural affairs officer,US Embassy,New Delhi. “The HaviKoro members come from the streets and have grown up dancing on the streets. They use dance to create awareness on various issues.” They will perform in Chandigarh on January19 at PGI’s Bhargava Auditorium. They will hold a free hip hop dance workshop on January 18 at The Lobby,Sector 26. They will also interact about their work on January 19 at the Library’s American Corner.
