Burgeoning reality dance shows has made twists and twirls,summersaults and whirls much sought after. After Shiamak Davar,and Saroj Khan,it is now choreographer and Dance Indian Dance judge Remo D’Souza’s turn to open his institute in Panchkula’s Sector 20.

“From three to six months to two to three years,there are long and short term courses. The monthly fee starts at Rs 2,000,” he says. The institute will train in various dance forms like jazz,pop,hip-hop,breaking,salsa,bollywood and contemporary. While D’ Souza will take classes once in a while,there will be dance instructors from Mumbai as well.

“Really good dancers will be trained by me for forthcoming reality shows,” he says,adding that the Panchkula branch will also organise talent hunt shows. Special classes will be held for students from the economically weaker sections of society. A huge fan of the late Michael Jackson,D’Souza advices parents to not push their children into something they’re not cut out for.

D’Souza is looking forward to his films: Action Replay,Robot and Patiala House. “I keep researching new dance styles from all over the world. So,there’s retro style in Action Replay,Punjabi influences in Patiala House and MJ’s moonwalk in Robot.” He loves directing and has already won accolades for his Bengali film with Mithun Chakraborty. “Next one is a youth based film and titled Faltu,”he signs off.
