Micky tees to glory

In the presence of renowned golfer Jeev Milkha Singh,the other aspiring golfers had a shot at glory during the 5th Chandigarh Golfing Tour which started off from Chandigarh Golf Club on Friday.

In the presence of renowned golfer Jeev Milkha Singh,the other aspiring golfers had a shot at glory during the 5th Chandigarh Golfing Tour which started off from Chandigarh Golf Club on Friday. Micky Punia of the United States,with a score of 81,emerged winner in the Gross (0-14 Handicap) category. Following Micky closely was Kamaldeep Sangha,also from USA,who managed a score of 82 to claim the runners-up spot. In the Nett category,Kamaldeep Sangha emerged as winner with a score of 68. Karampal Cheema of the United States secured the runners-up spot with a score of 71.

Meanwhile,in the Gross (15-24 Handicap) category,Sarbjit Singh Sidhu of Malaysia maintained his authority with a score of 83 to emerge as winner. In the Nett category,Karamjeet Brar of Singapore,with a score of 63,took the winners trophy. Following him closely was Sarabjit Sidhu of Malaysia with a score of 64. In special prizes,the longest drive award went to Sarabjit Singh Sidhu of Malaysia,who had a hit of 270 yards,while the nearest to the pin award went to Charanpal Singh of Malaysia with 9′.2″.
