Raising a toast to the Margarita a classic Mexican cocktail Chilis Bar and Grill housed in Elante Mall hosted a Margarita mixology and tasting session on Friday. With an aim to showcase the various ways the popular Mexican drink can be given a twist,mixologist Vishal Kumar a specialist in cocktails and flair bartending showcased various recipes. Margarita is essentially a tequila-based cocktail. Other important ingredients are Cointreau liqueur and any other alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. The thumb rule is that there should be a mixing of at least three alcoholic beverages with tequila being the base, said Kumar. The restaurant houses a Margarita Bar and Kumar showcased the recipe of Presidente Margarita,a new arrival on the menu. Margarita can be served in three ways on the rocks,frozen and straight up, said Kumar. Chilis has also reworked the menu to bring in the likes of Baha fish tacos and parmesan crusted cottage cheese quesadillas.
