Chandigarh will have a Saroj Khan Dance Academy!

The acting block is full. Music too has found its stage. Now what was left was another national obsession – dance. Taking this dance pe chance is B Town’s Masterji,Saroj Khan,who along with Leo Productions,the people behind Dance India Dance,is planning to bring a dance institute in the city. “Saroj Khan Dance Academy,and it will be set up in Sector 34 by December end,” announced Masterji. While speculations are that it might get pushed into the New Year,entry to the school will be purely on the basis of talent. Saroj would screen each applicant for different dance courses,and “based on it,we’ll recommend the course – primary,advanced et al,” she added. As for other details like number of seats,course length and fee structure,it’s yet to be disclosed. “But one thing’s for sure – you will have the best teachers and best dance forms taught here,” assured Khan,who feels that inexperienced candidates on dance reality shows end up as a laughing stock. “Our academy would not let that happen,” she added that aspirants would not only be taught dancing but will be trained to the level of reality shows.
