Manpreet cannot fool people: CM

According to Badal,the Shiromani Akali Dal had given Manpreet an opportunity to serve the people of the constituency as an MLA and later elevated him to the post of the finance minister. But,Badal added,Manpreet never wanted him to hold sangat darshan in the Gidderbaha and stood like a wall between him and the people for reasons best known to him.

Speaking about his decision to spend nights at the venues of his sangat darshan programmes,the chief minister said that he wanted to feel the pulse of the people,so that he could address the problems being faced by them in a more meaningful and result oriented manner.

Accusing Congress of not solving the problems of people belonging to rural areas,Badal said his government,on the contrary,was committed to give a facelift to villages by ensuring overall development. He underlined that sangat darshan the a healthy platform to achieve this objective — by redressing the grievances of the people on the spot,the communication gap between the masses and the administration can be bridged.
