Citys Rohin Bains, who plays Salman junior in London Dreams,is busy promoting the film on facebook & twitter! Three and a half stars, which is not bad, compared to what Aladin got, the first thing 14-year-old Rohin Bains did this morning was log on and review status on his film - London Dreams. The ninth grader from YPS,Mohali played junior Salman Khan and by now, everyone at school addresses him as Sallu Bhai. Pardon the cliche, but we couldnt help askin how was it? Great, he chooses his words carefully, quite on the contrary to his character in the film. Im playing Manu,Salmans bachpan, who is extremely bindass and carefree and the only thing important to him are his friends, tells Rohin who initially got the jitters around director Vipul Shah. Hes strict, but it got better. His second film after Bobby Deols Ek,this one has Rohin promoting it big time on facebook and twitter. Im a facebook junkie, says the lad with an extensive theatre experience behind him. In fact,he and his father,Jagan Chaudhry, along with others staged street plays to raise funds for victims of tsunami. There are no retakes in theatre. Everything is quick. You need to improvise there and then and carry a loud voice and expression, whereas in cinema, although you have to be equally intense, its more relaxed, Rohin still finds the stage a bigger challenge. So,has the cinematic journey changed any perceptions? For starters,I am not stiff on stage,I go with the flow, and secondly,I dont criticise as much as I used to for I realise now how much hardwork goes in making a film, in spite of the exposure,Rohin would rather pick journalism as a career choice. Acting is not a very stable profession, says Rohin,as he returns to his singing and Chetan Bhagats Three States.
