Abhishekh to lead
Abhishekh Verma will lead the Chandigarh team which will take part in M.L Markan Trophy starting from April 13. Chandigarh will play their first match against Ropar on Tuesday at Sector 16 Stadium. Harminder Singh Pannu will coach coach the Chandigarh team. Other members are: Shivam Bhambri,SimranPreet Singh,Abhijeet,Kapil Poonia,Kuljinder Singh,Arpit Singh,Aditya Shukla,Saurabh,Harshit Sharma,Kshitij,Arjit SinghVikas Chechi,Nawansh,Arvind Chauhan,Sanjog Singh,Vineet Dhaka,Mehroz Paul and Sechet Madra.

Chess championship from April 17
The Chandigarh Chess Association is organising U-13 and U-17 boys and girls Chess Championship at St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School ,Sector 44 on April 17 and April 18. Two players each from boys as well as girls’ category will be selected after the tournament to represent Chandigarh in the nationals.
