Hopefuls from Chandigarh turned up at Baba Makhan Shah Lobana hall in Sector 30 on Tuesday where television anchor Shamoly Khera was conducting the auditions.

As early as 7am,the place was abuzz with aspiring starlets, all lined up to be the next Bollywood insider for the channel. These finalists will compete on the television reality show, with the winner becoming the face of UTV Stars for a year.

“The girls will be put through several tasks to test their mettle. For instance,an all-night party will be followed with a 5am interview call with a film star, during which a makeup artist will judge them on how well they have covered their tired eyes with make-up,” says Khera, adding how each task will be designed and judged by directors, fashion designers, makeup artists and Bollywood actors. While the contest was open only for girls, boys gatecrashed the auditions, too. “We loved their enthusiasm, but we are looking for glamour and elegance, which comes naturally to girls,” Khera commented.
