CM Khattar at the event (Twitter/@mlkhattar) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Saturday said the state government has successfully implemented the ‘Zero Drop Out’ policy. “No child in the state shall remain out of school… Taking this initiative ahead, about 48 lakh children in the age group of six to 18 years are being tracked to know the status of their education,” the CM said.
Khattar made the remark while addressing students, parents, and teachers at the inaugural ceremony of Satya School in Sector 49, Gurugram.
“For the first time in the country, 5.5 lakh digital tablets were distributed to the students of Classes X to XII to connect the children of government schools with technology. On the other hand, education is being imparted through smart classrooms in government schools of Haryana today,” Khattar said.
He further said, “…Similarly, 150 new buses have also been purchased under Chhatra Parivahan Suraksha Yojana (safe transport scheme) to safely ferry girl students to their schools or colleges and one nodal officer has also been appointed in each institution for the transportation of girl students.”
A state government spokesperson said, “After inaugurating the school, the chief minister inspected the newly constructed building and visited different classes and labs. He told the students about inspirational personalities and asked questions. The new National Education Policy will be implemented in Haryana by 2025.
“Referring to the Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India (PM-SHRI) scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister further said that two schools in every block of the state will be opened i.e., a total of 270 PM-SHRI schools will be opened. Education will be imparted according to the National Education Policy in these schools. The Centre has set a target to implement the new National Education Policy across the country by 2030 but in Haryana it will be fully implemented by 2025.”
