On a chilly Thursday night at Delhi’s The Lodhi hotel, renowned American designer Kenneth Cole presented his Spring-Summer 2014 collection to a select few. The 59-year-old presented a range of clothes, watches, sunglasses, bags and shoes for men and women. Cole’s Spring-Summer range highlighted some trends, such as digitised camouflage prints on short dresses, light summer jackets and athletic silhouettes. The designer attempted to bring together street style as well as sportswear in this range, which is dominated by the colour green. So there were fitted pants and short skirts with oversized T-shirts and sweatshirts. Cole says he is inspired by the ’80s harlem chic trend and has, hence, attempted leisurewear with sportswear for this range. Apart from shades of green, there was white, black, bronze and coral. Cole used fabric such as leather, mesh, crepe, nylon and tropical wool. He styled the clothes along with a fun line of easy-going sling bags and sunglasses. With stores in Delhi,Mumbai and Chennai,Cole was in India to attend the amFAR GALA held in Mumbai on Sunday night.
