The dark clouds,gentle drizzle and cool breeze were perfect complements to the grand design of The Bella Vista Hotel,a new luxury hotel in Sector 5,Panchkula,that is now welcoming guests. With space at a premium,the hotel gives you a splendid view of the Shivaliks,with the night lights of Kasauli crystal clear from the huge glass windows.
The Bella Vista (which means Beautiful View) has been designed by a Canadian architect and his British partner on a Mediterranean theme and a five-star project certificationhas already been given. It has retail space,food court,50 individually designed rooms and two speciality restaurants Serenade,the Mediterranean all day-dining area and pool deck offering eclectic continental and Indian cuisine a Brio bar and is all set to have a Japanese restaurant too. The hotel is spread across several floors,with Cabana rooms with jacuzzis,private decks that offer access to reserved swimming areas and premium suites with private indoor pools.
Jaskirat Singh,vice-president of the hotel,says that with Chandigarh and Panchkula growing rapidly,such a property was the need of the hour. We are an environment-friendly hotel with systems like rain harvesting,sewage treatment plants,solar heating,glass which reduces ultra-violet rays,fuel-efficient DG sets,better efficiency power systems all in place, he says. The hotel took four years to complete and cost around RS 100 crore.
