Ropar police have ordered the deportation of French woman Annie Marrie Catherine Dubord, who was staying in Navalji Kutia at Nangal in Ropar district even after the expiry of her visa.

SSP L K Yadav said Dubord(65) had first visited India in 1989,she came in contact with Swami Basant and Swami Naval Ji of Nangal, after that she used to visit Nangal on a tourist visa.

He said that Dubord had last arrived in India on March 9,2007 on tourist visa which was valid from November 29,2006 to May 2007 and since then has been staying at Naval ji kutia even after the expiry of her visa.

“Although Dubod had submitted an application to the Ropar police on June 9,2010,for the extension of her visa, she wanted to stay in kutia permanently in the devotion of God,as she has no relatives in France. She was told to contact the Union Home Ministry for the extension of her visa. However, she failed to do so. Therefore, she has been directed to leave the country without any delay,” said Yadav.
