Four-year-old ‘abducted’ from outside home

Police have questioned neighbours and a CCTV footage of a nearby area is also being analysed.

A four-year-old boy, Ajay, was allegedly abducted from outside his residence in Kishangarh on Sunday evening while he was playing with his friends. The police have registered a case under Section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code at the Manimajra police station.

SHO of Manimajra police station, Inspector Jasbir Singh, said, “We are investigating the case.” Police sources, however, said that five teams have been formed for raiding the residences of the suspects.

The sources also said that the family had received ransom calls. Gyanwanti, Ajay’s mother, said that he was playing with his friends when they came and told her that some unknown people had kidnapped Ajay.

Some of the residents said that a neighbour, Suresh, was seen with Ajay. Police have zeroed in on him as a suspect. His residence was locked when Gyanwanti reached there looking for Ajay on Sunday night.
