Arpana Trust,a spiritually-based,service-oriented community,has rolled out its annual Stitches of Love exhibition at Hotel Aroma,Sector 22. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the city’s Mayor Anu Chatrath (see photograph,centre) on Thursday morning. In over two decades,Arpana has trained 5,000 rural women in hand embroidery at its 13 village centres.

The exhibition this year offers an extensive range of household linen,apart from kidswear and ladies nightwear. “We have used fabrics such as corduroy cotton and casement and it’s both affordable and fashionable,” pointed out Arpana’s Indu Dayal. The exhibition is on till February 20 and all proceeds from the sale at the exhibition will go to charity. (EFS)
