File report on Avinash’s death by Sept 30,court tells police

A local court on Friday ordered the police to file its investigation report regaring the death of Avinash by September 30. A notice was issued to Chandigarh Police on August 26. The case will come up for hearing on September 30.

Avinash Kumar,who was on his way back home on his motorcycle from the beauty salon where he worked,rammed a stray cattle around 10.45pm on August 16 near Sector 45. He succumbed to injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 on August 20.

After Avinash’s death an Daily Diary Report was lodged. However,Advocate Pankaj Chandgothia appealed to the Chandigarh Police to register an FIR in the case. Since the Police refused to register an FIR,Chandgothia moved the Court seeking directions to the Police to register an FIR against officials of UT Municipal Corporation because the accident took place due to the negligence of MC officials.
