In her line of business,designer Poonam Sood understands the importance of timing. And the soft launch of her autumn-winter collection at her design studio Siaz in Sector 19,Chandigarh on Tuesday would suggest that. With Rakshabandhan falling on this weekend,Sood gave us a sneak preview of her collection comprising mostly of Anarkali suits and tunics along with embellished saris and designer blouses. The pre-stitched kurtas have longer lengths and come with Pakistani salwars and churidars. “The colour palette,keeping in mind the the turn of the weather,is vibrant,” says Sood,who works with minimal embellishments and focuses on traditional embroidery and contemporary silhouettes. Her bright kalidaar suits are eye-catching. Given how Pakistani suits have been popular all summer,she’s taking forward the look through to winter as well. Prices start at Rs 3,500.
