Fashion in Delhi seems to have hit a high note. We barely recuperated from the Mens Week in August,and it is fashion week time again.

Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is all set to organise the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week- Spring Summer 2012 from October 8-12 at Pragati Maidan. We will be looking out for the ramp scorchers,front row rivalries and hopefully,some great designs. But brace yourself for a fashion marathon,as 129 designers get set to participate this time. This is a big business opportunity for the designers as there are a number of buyers, says Sunil Sethi,President,FDCI.

Thirty four shows spread over five days,will have 61 designers on the runway,54 designers showcasing their collections in stalls and 13 accessory designers.

Rina Dhaka,Nachiket Barve,Gauri-Nainika,James Ferreira,Rajesh Pratap Singh,Samant Chauhan and a few others will take over the ramp while Ashima-Leena,Abraham-Thakore,Tarun Tahiliani and Priyadarshini Rao and many more will display the ensembles in stalls.

With a collection of 60 cotton,silk and georgette dresses,designer Anita Dongre is thrilled about the numbers. Its a big trade platform for designers to get noticed by foreign buyers and this drives us to do our best, she says.
