Hail has ruptured the leaves of my brinjal plants and three of my chilly plants have broken in the middle. What should I do?

Rupturing of leaves is a setback but do not worry, new leaves will take over in no time. The broken chilly plant will also sprout to give side branches.

We were planning to remove some of the mango fruit from the tree injured by hail. What can we do now? Will they ripen on the tree or should we ripen them artificially?
Manjeet Singh,Chandigarh

The plants that have deep injury will get spoiled very fast and it will also not be possible to ripen them. Only in case you find the injury is just superficial you can try ripening the fruit by wrapping in paper and putting in air tight carton.
