“Complicity of S S Badal,is evident from the fact that the sanction for prosecution was given in a single day with the file passing through 15 hands. Another proof of his connivance is that the state government granted prosecution sanction although it is only the Government of India only which can grant prosecution sanction against an IAS officer,” states the petition.

Speaking to Newsline Januja said that earlier a case was registered on the complaint of industrialist T R Mishra against him with the vigilance. “Mishra wanted to acquire two thousand square yards of land at Ludhiana. However,Punjab Small Scale Industries Corporation rejected his application,” said Janjua

“At that time I was the director (Industries). He then came to me with the application and I told him this does not come under my jurisdiction. Following this,he lodged a false corruption case against me with connivance of Sukhbir and Sumedh Saini to escape the legal consequences of submission of a false affidavit against me,” he added.

“The mobile phone of DSP and complainant T R Misra show that 13 calls were exchanged between them in pursuance of the criminal conspiracy much before the day of alleged demand i.e. the morning of November 9 2009,” the petition reads further.
