Cops probe murder angle in software developers suicide

Two days after software developer Karan Goel was found hanging in his rented accommodation,the police have started probing the angle of murder.

Karans highly decomposed body was found by his friends who visited his ESI Society residence in Sector 51 to check why he was not answering their calls. They had reportedly gained entry after breaking the door and found Karan hanging from the ceiling fan. No suicide note was recovered from the room.

The police had termed it a suicide after preliminary investigations. However,after the parents of the deceased pointed towards the possibility of murder,the police ordered an investigation.

Senior Superintendent of Police said: I have asked the personnel concerned to review the case and leave no stone unturned in the investigations. We are waiting for the viscera report to reach any conclusions.

Sources said Karan was quite depressed after being dumped by his girlfriend,who features in a show at MTV. Karan worked with a private firm in Sector 20 and was pursuing MBA through a private institute. He was not on good terms with his parents and was living separately.
